I ran into some car trouble while bringing my elderly parents to the doctors in Maclean recently. We had travelled from Grafton and didn't know anyone in the area that could help us out. The two men from John Snapes motors were brilliant. They walked around to where my car had broken down, got the car going and drove my parents and myself to their workshop. We waited in the comfortable waiting room while they fixed my car and got us going again. I can't thank them enough for helping us out. Their customer service was brilliant and they went above and beyond to get me out of a jam, and make sure my parents were comfortable. We came to the workshop very spontaneously because our car suddenly developed a problem with the radiator. We contacted them on a Friday afternoon and were welcomed with incredible warmth right away. The mechanics, as well as the lady at the front desk, were extremely friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to assist us on such short notice. They even ordered a replacement part late on a Friday afternoon and installed it first thing the next morning as quickly as possible. Everyone was exceptionally hospitable and supported us as backpackers in a way that truly saved a part of our trip. We were incredibly lucky to find this workshop in such an unfortunate situation, and we can recommend them wholeheartedly. I found Adam and his mechanics and the very nice office lady yesterday when my VW Tiguan had problems on my journey south from Queensland. They diagnosed my problem...reset my engine so it came out of limp mode and very kindly did it free of charge. I was stressed and worried and this experience was a godsend.
